Upon successfully completing the VLP, graduates are appointed as Volunteer Leaders (VLs) and entrusted with a range of important responsibilities:
Planning and executing events that align with the mission of the Singapore Red Cross.
Recruiting, mentoring, and engaging volunteers, ensuring they are motivated, well-supported, and developed.
Inspiring and leading by example, while cultivating future leaders who will carry forward the SRC’s humanitarian efforts.
This initiative aims to cultivate a strong, sustainable leadership pipeline, ensuring that SRC continues to thrive and make a profound impact on the community for years to come.
A Formal Appointment and Continued Support
Graduates of the VLP receive an official appointment letter, endorsed by the Secretary General, which formalises their commitment to serving as a Volunteer Leader for a minimum of 2 years. This term is renewable based on mutual agreement, allowing leaders to extend their impact while continuing to grow within their roles.
In addition to this formal recognition, Volunteer Leaders benefit from:
Sponsorship for further training and development, enabling them to continue building their leadership skills.
Access to the Volunteer Management System (VMS), offering tools and resources to enhance their effectiveness in the role.
A testimonial (where applicable), highlighting their contributions and leadership.
The official Volunteer Leader vest, symbolising their commitment and position within the Singapore Red Cross.
