The Volunteer Induction Session, formerly known as Basic Training, is a collaborative initiative between the Volunteer Management team, various Singapore Red Cross (SRC) departments, and a dedicated volunteer workgroup. This partnership ensures that new volunteers receive a well-rounded and engaging introduction to SRC, equipping them with the knowledge and inspiration to embark on their volunteer journey.
Held at least once a month, this two-hour session provides an overview of SRC’s humanitarian services and programmes, the volunteers' code of conduct, and the diverse volunteering opportunities available. Beyond information-sharing, this session is led by passionate volunteers who champion SRC’s mission, share their experiences, and inspire others to make a meaningful impact.
